Article 11 governs the acquisition of Maltese citizenship by minors, outlining the provisions applicable to eligible children.

Application Requirements
Core requirements for the Malta Permanent Residence Programme
- Applicants must be a foreign national or a stateless person.
- Applicants must have lived continuously in Malta for the 12 months immediately before applying.
- Applicants must have lived in Malta for a total of at least four years during the six years before the final 12-month period.
- Applicants must be of good character.
- Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in either Maltese or English.
- Applicants must be considered suitable to become citizens of Malta.
- Applicants must provide two non-relative sponsors whose signatures are witnessed and countersigned.
- Applicants must submit a completed application form and take the required oaths, including the Oath of Allegiance to the Republic of Malta.
